hoy me desperté cantando 99 red ballons.

recuerdo cuando pensaba que esa canción era un poco revolucionara, y por eso me gustaba the sugarcubes.

despue sbjork hizo un cover tambien de esa cancion.

aun así, está llena de actualidad.

y despues supe que en realidad SI era una cancion bastante de protesta y que de origen alemán.

esta es mas o menos la anecdota que me contaron sobre esa cancion, y que en songfacts tambien sale:

Legend has it that either West or East Berliners saw balloons going over the wall and they thought it was a nuclear attack.
